This case is the latest chapter in a series of protracted disputes over the estates of a District of Columbia resident, James Jarvis, who died in 2003, and his mother, Rose Walker, who died in 2000. The plaintiffs, who are among Jarvis’s heirs, argue that Jarvis was denied his fair share of Walker’s estate and that, as a result, they received less than they should have when Jarvis’s estate was distributed.
