Teresa Torres-Martinez (“Torres”) sued Miguel Pereira (Administrator of the Puerto Rico Department of Corrections, “Pereira”), Jaime López (Regional Director of the Puerto Rico Department of Corrections, “López”) and other Puerto Rico Department of Corrections (“PRDOC”) personnel in their personal and official capacities (collectively, the “Defendants”) for political discrimination and violations of her Fourteenth Amendment due process rights.
