July 24,1940, Charles and Gertrude M. Haslett, then owners of certain farm land in Arenac county, in consideration of $25, executed and delivered to Dr. E. G. Hester and H. W. Sullivan, defendants and cross-plaintiffs herein: “The sole right and option to purchase for the price and sum of $310, a one-half interest in and to all of the oil, gas and other minerals, in and under and that may be produced” from a described parcel of their land.
