OPINION

ORLOFSKY, District Judge.

This employment law case presents this Court with the opportunity to explore the expanding contours of a public employee’s First Amendment rights and the protection provided by the New Jersey Constitution to an employee’s reputation. In addition, I must consider the employee’s reputational interests in the context of New Jersey’s Conscientious Employee Protection Act and the common law tort of defamation. Plaintiff, Mark C.
