Relator Heidi Amos is the defendant in a pending criminal case. She filed a motion to recuse the trial judge presiding over her case, a former judge was assigned to decide the motion to recuse, and that judge granted the motion. The recused judge then filed a motion for reconsideration, and the assigned judge signed an order purporting to grant rehearing of the motion to recuse and to set the motion for a new hearing. By a petition for writ of mandamus and writ of prohibition, Amos asks us to prevent the assigned judge from reconsidering her recusal order.…
