This is an ejectment case, in which the defendants answered alleging that the deed in the chain of title by which these petitioners obtained title from their common grantor and claim title thereunder was in fact a deed to secure debt, instead of an absolute deed as therein stated, and that the defendants and their predecessors in title had remained in possession of the property after this deed was given.
