This is an action of tort to recover damages for personal injuries by reason of being struck by an automobile operated by the defendant. Trial was by jury. At the close of the plaintiff’s evidence the defendant moved for a directed verdict on the ground that there was no evidence showing negligence on the part of the defendant and that the evidence showed that the plaintiff was guilty of contributory negligence.
