Following a jury trial, appellant Russell Winestock was convicted of armed robbery, D.C.Code 1973 §§ 22-2901, -3202; assault on two police officers with a dangerous weapon, D.C.Code 1973 § 22-505(b); and the unlawful possession of á dangerous drug, D.C.Code 1973 § 33-402(a).
