—A jury convicted Jeremy King of one count of first degree child molestation and one count of first degree child rape. During the trial, King moved for a mistrial after a Child Protective Services (CPS) investigator referred to his status as a registered sex offender in *791violation of the trial court’s order in limine excluding all references to King’s prior sexual offenses. The trial court denied King’s motion and later denied his posttrial motion for a new trial. King appeals.
