After a trial to a jury, the defendant was convicted of robbery in the first degree, a violation of General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (3), assault in the second degree, a violation of General Statutes § 53a-60 (a) (2), and robbery in the third degree, a violation of General Statutes § 53a-136. The defendant was charged by two separate informations with these crimes which were committed on two different dates and which involved two separate unrelated incidents.
