|2The Jefferson Parish District Attorney charged defendant, Dondrick Wilson, with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:95.1, and defendant pled not guilty at arraignment. The trial court denied defendant’s motion to suppress the evidence after a hearing on March 18, 2008. On July 31, 2008, defendant was tried before a twelve-person jury, which found him guilty as charged.
