{¶ 1} Appellant, Lang Dunbar, appeals the July 15, 2006 judgment of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, finding him guilty of abduction and sentencing him to two years in prison.

{¶ 2} The facts which give rise to this appeal are undisputed. On November 7, 2004, Dunbar struck his live-in fiancé ("the victim") in the face and head with a closed fist multiple times, causing her to fall to the floor, where he then began to grab at her and twist her legs, causing her severe pain.
