OPINION AND ORDER

CEREZO, District Judge.

This is an action under section 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act, 29 U.S.C. section 185. Plaintiff, Congreso de Uniones Industriales (Union), seeks to vacate an arbitrator’s decision that the grievance of an employee of defendant Bacardi Corporation was not arbitrable because the employee-union member, Eduardo Quiñones, did not follow the pre-arbitration steps in the collective bargaining agreement within the time periods provided therein.
