The plaintiffs bring this suit asserting they are joint adventurers with the defendant Summers (hereafter sometimes styled defendant) in experimenting with, developing and ultimately perfecting a quick operating locking fastener, a device primarily intended for use in aircraft but adaptable to other fields, conceived by the defendant but not then successful functionally or mechanically.
