Thomas William Sullivan (hereinafter “Thomas”) died on July 29, 2000, having left his then girlfriend, defendant Sally Jean Kruger (hereinafter “Sally Jean”), and daughter, defendant Mary Elizabeth Sullivan (hereinafter “Mary Beth”), as beneficiaries of his life insurance policy.
