Victor Luna, defendant-appellant herein, appeals from convictions and sentences entered by the District Court of Nebraska, Fourth Judicial District, in and for Douglas County, following a jury trial. Luna was charged in an amended information with one count of first degree assault, in violation of Neb. Rev. Stat. § 28-308 (Reissue 1979); one count of second degree assault, in violation of Neb.
