VANCE, Circuit Judge:

Appellant Roberto G. Elorduy was convicted on charges of conspiring to possess marijuana, 1 possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, 2 and unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a federal felony. 3 Following these convictions, he received a ten-year consecutive sentence, comprised of five years for the conspiracy count, three years for the substantive count, and two years for the gun count.
