SULLIVAN, Judge:

On January 16, 1986, appellant was tried by a general court-martial composed of officer and enlisted members at Darmstadt, Federal Republic of Germany. Contrary to his pleas, he was found guilty of wrongful possession of drug-abuse paraphernalia and wrongful possession of heroin on June 13, 1985, and wrongful use of heroin on numerous occasions “between the period 1 February 1985 and 5 June 1985,” in violation of Articles 92 and 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 892 and 912a, respectively.
