Plaintiff James Pitts appeals from a denial of his request for disability insurance benefits under Title II of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. § 401, et seq. and for disability benefits under the Supplemental Security Income program under Title XVI of the Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 1381, 1382c. Pitts claims that he is disabled due to a combination of health problems including a bad back, bursitis, mild emphysema and a stomach ulcer.
