This is a bill to restrain infringement of United States letters patent No. 604,690, issued to Lewis E. Waterman May 24, 1898, and subsequently, on December 29, 1898, assigned to complainant. The application for the patent was filed August 12, 1895. It was a second application; an antecedent one filed July 31, 1894, being abandoned, by permission of the Patent Office, after its rejection by the Commissioner on appeal. The second application, upon which the patent, after considerable argument and repeated rejections, was finally allowed, was for precisely the same…
