The action in the court below was trover to recover the value of a horse, a buggy, a sleigh, a *26quantity of household furniture and ornaments, some articles of female apparel, etc. Many of these were claimed by the plaintiff as gifts from J ames Zimmerman, her husband. The plaintiff in error, defendant below,, claimed all the articles under a chattel mortgage given by the husband subsequent to the alleged gifts.
