Val Jamison and his wife, Sara Lynn Jamison, appeal from a decree by the Hempstead County Chancery Court that granted judgment in favor of the estate of Robert Sims Goodlett, deceased, against them for $185,645.30, plus prejudgment interest of $29,418.43 for the period beginning December 21, 1992, until August 11, 1995, upon a finding that appellants failed to prove that Robert Sims Goodlett made an inter vivos gift to them of all his land and personal property when he gave Val Jamison a power of attorney dated September 4, 1987.
