Plaintiff brought an action against defendant to recover $6,006 claimed to be a balance due him for wages for work done as carpenter and laborer for defendant. Defendant denied liability, claiming plaintiff had been paid in full. There was a jury trial and at the close of the evidence defendant moved for a directed verdict.
