This is a suit in equity, brought pursuant to the provisions of section 4915 of the-Revised Statutes (35 USCA § 63), whereby the plaintiff seeks to establish his right to a patent for a steam drier used in paper, making machinery in connection with the drying and bleaching of the paper. More specifically, the apparatus involves a hollow rotary drier or cylinder over which the paper sheet travels, the interior of the rotary drier or cylinder being constantly supplied with steam to keep the drier or cylinder hot so as to accomplish the drying function.
