MAJORITY OPINION
HUDSON, Justice.
Appellant entered a plea of not guilty before a jury to the offense of burglary of a habitation. Tex.Penal Code Ann. § 30.02 (Vernon 1989).1 The jury found him guilty, and after finding two enhancement paragraphs true, assessed his punishment at eighty-seven years imprisonment in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
