I. INTRODUCTION

St. Paul Church, Inc., formerly a local affiliate of The United Methodist Church, was discontinued as a United Methodist Church by the Alaska Missionary Conference of The United Methodist Church. Following the discontinuance, a dispute arose between St. Paul Church and the Alaska Missionary Conference over two parcels of property that St. Paul Church acquired when it was affiliated with The United Methodist Church.
