In 1945 the legislature passed an act relating to the control and eradication of Bang’s disease in cattle. Ch. 355, Oregon Laws, 1945. Certain amendments were adopted by Ch. 588, Oregon Laws, 1947. Under the Act cattle which are found to be infected with the disease must be slaughtered. Violation of provisions of the Act or of any rule promulgated thereunder by the director of the Department of. Agriculture was made a misdemeanor.
