The salient facts have been carefully •collected and concisely stated by the district judge. It is unnecessary to repeat them.

The Steamship.

The negligence of the steamship is clearly established. No difficult problem of navigation confronted her. The night was clear, there was no wind, the tide was ebb, a deep navigable channel in the center of the river was free from all obstructions, and to the north of the range line there was good water for more than 400 feet; no vessel was approaching and the lights on the dredge and the range lights on the shore were all set and…
