THIS was an appeal from the Circuit Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

The controversy between the parties had been at several different times, in various shapes before this court, as will be seen by reference to 6 Howard, 206, 7 Howard, 160, and 14 Howard, 313.
