OPINION
MINZNER, Chief Justice.
{1} Defendant Pedro Gonzales appeals from a conviction for first degree willful and deliberate murder, see NMSA 1978, § 30-2-1(A)(1) (1994), as well as from a conviction for second degree murder, see § 30-2-l(B), with a firearm enhancement, see NMSA. 1978, § 31-18-16 (1993). We have jurisdiction pursuant to Article VI, Section 2 of the New Mexico Constitution.
