Plaintiff owns a lot of land containing about 4 acres, situate partly within and partly without the corporate limits of the city of Hickory. A dwelling-house containing 8 rooms is located on this lot which has been occupied by plaintiff as a residence for about 13 years. The lot is situate near the southern limits of the city at the end of Eighth Street.
