CHRISTIAN, Judge.

— The offense is making a false entry in a book of a state bank; the punishment confinement in the penitentiary for five years.

It was averred in the indictment that appellant as cashier of First State Bank of Sulphur Springs, Texas, did “knowingly and unlawfully make in a book then and there belonging to and used by the said state bank in the conducting of its banking business then and there known and designated as the general ledger upon a sheet in said general ledger showing the account of warrants owned and held as assets of the said state bank and upon line 15 and to the…
