National American Insurance Company (National) executed an appearance bond in the amount of $25,000 on behalf of Defendant Jesus L. Parada. Parada subsequently failed to appear for trial, and the trial court ordered the bond forfeited. National appeals the March 16, 1993, Order Confirming Bail Forfeiture and the November 15, 1993, Judgment of Forfeiture of Appearance Bond, arguing that the notice requirement of RCW 10.19.090 and the terms of the surety contract required the trial court to exonerate the bond.
