In this medical malpractice case, the patient-plaintiff, Sarah Vinklarek, appeals from a summary judgment granted in favor of the defendant, Dr. Harold Cane. Vinklarek brought a medical malpractice claim against Dr. Cane for alleged negligent care and treatment in connection with an infection Vinklarek acquired following oral surgery. The oral surgery was performed by other doctors, but when the infection became more severe, these doctors consulted with Dr. Cane on or about March 30, 1982.
