MEMORANDUM DECISION

CHIN, District Judge.

Pro se petitioner Junior Collins brings this petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Collins was convicted, following a jury trial in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, New York County, of attempted burglary in the second degree and possession of burglar’s tools. He was sentenced to two concurrent terms of imprisonment — eighteen years to life on the attempted burglary count and one year on the possession of burglar’s tools count.
