I.INTRODUCTION
This case requires us to determine the applicability of the “continuing violation” doctrine to the statute of limitations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). 29 U.S.CA. §§ 201 et seq. The plaintiffs, former, present, and future officers and non-officer employees of the fire department of Columbus, Georgia (“the City”), filed this action on October 1, 1990.
