This is an appeal from a judgment'of nonsuit in an action for damages for personal injuries sustained by plaintiff Alta May Hoff, the wife of her co-plaintiff, in a collision in the city of Los Angeles between an automobile in which she was riding' and which was being operated by her husband, and two electric cars of defendant, coupled together and operated by defendant’s servants. The collision occurred at the intersection of Sixteenth Street, along which defendant operated a double track electric street-railway, with Western Avenue, about five o’clock p. m. on August 23, 1908.
