The Attorney General for the State of Minnesota, representing the Teachers Retirement Association, appeals an order of the district court1 affirming a bankruptcy *1122court’s2 order which concluded that monies held in a state-created teachers retirement plan became property of the bankruptcy estate upon the filing of a petition in bankruptcy by the debtors. For the following reasons we affirm the order of the district court.
