Linnen v. Beaufort County Sheriff's Department

Joseph Linnen, an employee of the Beaufort County Sheriffs Department for ten years, was fired by the sheriff, and as a result fainted, fell and suffered injuries. He filed an application for workers’ compensation benefits for injuries to his head, back and knees. The Hearing Commissioner held that Linnen’s injuries were suffered by accident arising out of and in the course of his employment with Beaufort County.
