The People, for the use of school directors of school district No. 48 in the county of Montgomery, filed a bill in the circuit court of that county to the January term, 1929, for the foreclosure of a lien for the taxes levied by the school district for the years 1926 and 1927 upon certain real estate alleged to have been owned and in the possession of the Illinois Coal Corporation and Rice Miller, its receiver, on the first day of April in those years.
