Appellant was tried by a military judge sitting alone as a general court-martial at *241the Naval Air Station Memphis, located at Millington, Tennessee. Consistent with his pleas, he was convicted of one specification each of unauthorized absence (23 days) and larceny of an automobile from a fellow Marine, in violation of Articles 86 and 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 886 and 921, respectively.
