This suit for a deficiency judgment by Union Lincoln-Mercury against a defaulting creditor, John Thrower, turns on determining the proper method to compute the surplus or deficiency after foreclosure under Ark. Stat. Ann. § 85-9-501 et seq. Thrower, the appellant, entered into a contract to purchase a 1980 Mercury Marquis from Union, the appellee, which retained a security interest in the automobile.
