This was an information in the nature of a quo ivarranto, charging Henry McCormick with usurping and holding the office of president of the board of trustees of the town of Normal, without warrant of law, and praying that he be required to answer by what warrant he claimed to hold and execute said office. McCormick answered claiming title to said office through an election thereto by said board of trustees.
