The American Surety Company of New York issued on March If, 1891, for a valuable consideration, to (he Florida Central & Peninsular Bailroad Company, a bond of indemnify against loss through the defalcation of its employés, who were to be named, among whom was W. Naylor Thompson, its treasurer. The railroad company was insured against loss by his dishonesty or culpable negligence in the sum of 825,000.
