Sarah Fink admitted herself for psychiatric hospital treatment in late 1997, expecting that her medical expenses would fall within the continuation group health coverage that her mother, Margaret Fink, had obtained from a former employer, Platte Community Memorial Hospital, Inc. (“Platte”).
