Under the Kansas Workers Compensation Act, K.S.A. 44-501 et seq., an injured workers compensation must be reduced by any social security retirement benefits received by that worker, subject to certain limitations. K.S.A. 2010 Supp. 44-501(h). But Kansas courts have limited this statutory offset and permitted already-retired claimants, who were working simply to supplement their social security at the time of injury, full workers compensation.
