Saunders was convicted of the offense of violating the Georgia securities law. The indictment was in two counts. The accused demurred on several grounds. The court sustained the demurrer as to the second count and overruled it as to the first count. The case proceeded to trial; and, on return of verdict of guilty and sentence, the accused filed a motion for new trial on the general grounds and eighty-three special grounds. The motion was overruled, and the exception in this court is to the overruling of the demurrers to the first count of the indictment and the judgment overruling the motion…
