Cross appeals from an order of the Supreme Court (Relihan, Jr., J.), entered July 2, 2004 in Tompkins *896County, which, inter alia, granted defendant’s motion to set aside the verdict.

In November 2001, plaintiff allegedly sustained various injuries when the car that she was driving was struck head on by a vehicle operated by defendant. Plaintiff thereafter commenced this action alleging that she had sustained a serious injury within the meaning of Insurance Law § 5102 (d).
