In this appeal, the Upper Merion Township Police Officers (Union) challenge the order of the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County (trial court) granting Upper Merion Township’s (Township) Petition for Review and to Vacate the Arbitration Award. The following issue is presented for our review: whether the retroactive increase of survivor benefits under a grievance arbitration award triggers the reporting mandates of the Municipal Pension Plan Funding Standard and Recovery Act 1 (Act 205).
