MELLOY, Circuit Judge.
Appellant Jack Dixon appeals the district court’s affirmance of his termination of disability benefits. We reverse and remand for further development of the factual record.

Appellant Jack Dixon was born on August 21, 1948. He received a ninth grade education and worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. Dixon suffered a job related injury on January 9, 1989, when he fell off a loading dock and injured his tail bone, resulting in an LI vertebral body compression fracture, para-lumbar muscle strain, myositis with myos-pasticity, and a coccygeal contusion.
